Satisfying a Sweet Tooth

Ever since she was a young girl, my sister has been interested in agriculture. After graduating with a degree in agriculture education, she accepted a teaching position at a local high school. For the past three years, she has been amazing her students with her knowledge about subjects such as raising beef cattle, growing flowers, and canning fruit preserves. Since she has a sweet tooth, canning fruit preserves is one of my sister’s favorite pastimes. If she ever has the time, she may even launch her own home based business canning fruit preserves to sell to customers. If you’re considering canning jams, jellies, and other sweet goods to sell to customers, you will need to invest in some state-of-the-art industrial equipment. On this blog, you will discover the types of industrial equipment that are necessary to start a canning business.

Three Tips For Selecting The Best-Fit Electric Vehicle Charger

Malou Leffers

Many people are gradually leaning toward electric vehicles for their environmental and cost benefits. However, people are still overlooking the importance of having the right electric vehicle charger. Some do not even know what to consider when selecting an electric vehicle charger. The best solution is to consult an expert who will guide you to choose a charger that matches your vehicle's specs. However, if you do not know any specialists, here are three tips to help you select a good charger.

Consider the Charger's Installation Location

It may seem obvious, but many people do not consider where the electric vehicle charger will be in the garage. Ensure the charger is installed close to ensure the cable reaches the car's charging port. Based on your garage's design, you can also buy a charger with a long cable. Another thing you should consider when installing the electric vehicle charger is that it should be close to the electric panel. This is imperative as it reduces the expense of having an extended wire run, especially if the electric panel is far from the garage. Ensure the charger is located close to your car to ensure easy charging.

Consider the EV Charging

Electric vehicle chargers come in three levels: 1, 2, and 3. The charger you purchase should match your home's electric power. For example, suppose your home has a 120V circuit. It will charge your electric vehicle, but it may take a day for the car to be completely charged. The charging time may also be longer if your car's battery capacity is high. Install a level 2 charger if you want to be charging your car at home. It will require a 240V circuit; you can hire an electrician to install one in the garage. The level 2 charger is a worthy investment as it is faster than the level 1, allowing you to charge your EV to full capacity within a short time.

Consider the Charger's Transferability

Most chargers are designed to be installed permanently. However, you should choose a portable electric vehicle charger. For instance, some power plugs are compatible with most, if not all, 240V outlets. The installation expenses of such plug-in models are the same if you choose to install a non-portable one. However, with the plug-in model, you can carry it when traveling, especially if you are confident that you will find a 240V outlet on your travels. Some level 2 chargers even have a wall mount for better convenience and safety.
